It's a good design, but it does create some lag for the server. However, I should point out that you don't need that much drops. With 13000 drops per hour, you get more than you can ever use in one hour, making it useless later on. Build a simpler design, that takes longer to max out, but doesn't create lag for the server.

Lots of people have built mob farms much bigger than that, and they end up being slower because the mobs spawn in other peoples caves rather than the farm.
That doesn't make anything Dax said void though, It's a multiplayer server so the spawns are split between whoever is on the server, making your mob spawner way less efficient than it would be on a solo world.
