LVS Pro Masons Discourse

I feel like there is slight confusion as to what service the LVS Pro Masons is offering.
https://zedwork.co.uk/wiki/LVS_Pro_Masons
I'll start a FAQ section on the wiki soon but for now, I just want to clarify:

The intent of suggesting that a Mayor/Council/Guardian tag a 'build' for observation is an attempt to create action. New players join the server every day and most of them spend their first 15 hours with us building in a warp town, watching how the family communicates and collaborates, and watching the (completed or in progress) builds for inspiration and guidance.

I am not proposing demolishing a Zedling’s build regardless of the length of their absence. I have been away for 3 months to 6 months at one time or other, completely absorbed by IRL issues and work, so I would be quite the hypocrite to suggest such a thing.

In my humble opinion if a player joins the server, lays down a few blocks, hereby claiming a plot of land in a warp town or district, and doesn’t return to work on it for months he/she is most likely not returning; and with the small possibility of return acknowledged should expect it to have been demolished and re-assigned for open use by another active player to facilitate the proper expansion and completion of the district. What I am suggesting is not without precedent. Most warp town rule boards contain some warning of the sort:

Forest Hills rules quotes:
“Builds can also altered/denied a mayor!“

“Builds may be removed for any reason by a mayor/co-mayor.“

“We will rarely remove completed builds unless we have proper reason to do so!“

“In-activity is the main reason!“

Hayfever Hills rules quote:

“If a incomplete build has lack of progress in 2 weeks it may be removed by the Mayors of this Warp…”

Savannah Springs rules quotes:
“Mayors may alter claims at any time. Their word is final.”

“Builds may be removed if their player is inactive for over a month”
“Claiming is allowed, but must show progress in a week.”

“Mayors may alter any builds close to the Warp pad”

“Mayors will give 1 week notice before removing inactive builds.”

Jungle (Old Warp) rules quote:
“Builds must be a Treehouse style” (demolition for non-compliance implied)

Swamp (Old Warp) rules quote:

“Mayor has the right to remove or alter builds. Won’t do this much.”

All I am really doing is asking the Mayors or Guardians to exercise what has long been held as law since I joined the server so that we can create a better building environment to entice new players with the occasional ‘prime spot’ in neighbourhoods of otherwise great/completed builds; simultaneously (in the case of older or retired warp towns) giving veteran server members a greater sense of pride in the overall beauty of LVS and possibly a little more incentive to collaborate.

I hope all the veteran players consider joining us on a build occasionally, and those that enjoy themselves - stay and keep building with us at any of our events.

Help me make the 'our' in 'our events' transition from a Pro Mason's 'our' to an LVS 'our'.

*wipes tear*

Odin Bless you!
Thank you for your time.

Sorry for the late reply. It won't cost anything. But the Embassies are meant to be in well-travelled areas where people can input requests and donations with ease. I apologise for my ignorance but is the Fort such a place? I was originally planning to just install Embassies in the warp towns tbh.

LOL I see! I am in the process of negotiating with the lovely MsKizz to construct my first Embassy in Forest Hills, but I will be happy to chat about it with you personally in-game or in private message as soon as possible. If you are willing to fund the project, I don't have a block/materials count for this particular build as yet as I had not considered making it a 'contract build' prior to this, I don't see any reason why not though :)

Please check out the wiki if you haven't.

Greetings MsKizz,

I would personally like to appeal to you to allow me to participate in some kind of custodian capacity for Forest Hills. I’ve started a passion project called the LVS Pro Masons in an attempt to get the whole community vibe out there a bit more. I hope you’ll check it out ( https://zedwork.co.uk/wiki/LVS_Pro_Masons ) and maybe allow me to construct the first Mason’s Embassy in Forest Hills [possibly at the site xXRatitoyFeareXx (I was told) got permission from you to demolish the existing farm next to the warp-building, but not necessarily there if you have objection].

Embassy Footprint for your consideration: 23x23 blocks (just over one chunk)

Thank you for your time reading this.
Best Wishes.
