The latest ZestyGame to be released on Zedwork is Spleef by Matze, in the Zealot arena by Memery!



Break the snow blocks beneath your opponents by either digging them up with your shovel or hitting them with snowballs!

A good week for ZestyGames; releasing yet another new game!

Play Words with Zedlings!



A multi-player word game! Take turns drawing, and earn points by being the first to guess the word or phrase being drawn. Player with the most points at the end wins!

An updated version of CryptWars by Dax23333 has just been released on ZestyGames!

This new version fixes some of the balance issues, and increases all round joy when playing!



Made from scratch by Dax23333 with a little help from Zedwick, Crypt Wars is a team based capture the flag game where teams compete to retrieve a single flag from the top of a tall tower. They venture though dungeons to find loot, and combat mobs along the way. Loot becomes better in quality as the game runs. Occasionally very powerful items will be found to swing the tide of battle.

I've been hard at work recoding how ZestyGames works behind the scenes. Of course, most of these changes won't be directly visible to you, but are making way for far more exciting functionality in future. (Especially if you're a command block minigame maker!)

ZestyGames
  • Implemented new variant system for hosting ZestyGames
  • Now displaying a minigame's Author on the hover text
  • Better support for long usernames and game names
  • Added Public, beta, alpha variants.
  • Games hosted using Beta and Alpha variants, for testing upcoming minigame releases, will display a symbol next to the game name to denote this. (Alpha: α, Beta: β)

BridgeWars has been completely recreated as a Spigot plugin, and is now back in the ZestyGames!

This version of BridgeWars aims to be as close to the original gameplay as possible, and introduces some other minor changes (for example, spectators not on teams will not be teleported to the lobby between games)

  • Team ready messages will be shown less often, no matter how hard you can slap the sign

Non too exciting updates to ZestyGames this week, however perhaps there's a hint of what's to come ;)

  • Fixed the arena reset reporting as "done" way earlier than it should.

  • Fixed bug where some biomes were reported as being a mushroom island
  • Due to the above fix, mobs should be more readily encountered across the map
  • Fixed kill count in sidebar sometimes reporting an incorrect number
  • Fixed player death messages not showing killer's name
  • Fixed spectators being unable to look in chests
  • Other minor adjustments to text in sidebar
  • Added "Return to the lobby" item during the pre-game lobby, which will return you to the main Zedwork lobby server when used.
